Finally, found a moment to create a blog and that's really all it took!

For a person who loves conversation, must say I am reluctant to blog. It seems such a solitary pursuit just you talking. The give and take is so protracted - I wonder if I will be won over?

I chose my blog name because of the fragrant Virburnum x bodnantense that is currrently blooming at my house. I think of it as my November friend; when I come home, on our dark November evenings it's fragrance greets me and I relax, welcomed, happy to be home. It typically blooms November and early spring, but is particularly profuse this spring!

Cheers, Chris

What a wonderful image of you and your viburnum on a dark November evening. And an interesting observation about blogging as a solitary activity with no instant feedback. I think in some ways, that it works better for those of us who are quiet and need to take time to organize our thoughts before sharing.

Does that mean that the beautiful pink Virburnum I have is a Virburnum x bodnantense. I have always envied people who can hold plant names beyond the general. I'm pretty proud that I still remember the name of my Orange Marmalade, but I think that actually has to do with the food connection.
