I have a del.cio.us story: I had just signed up for a del.cio.us account and spent the morning researching an annotated bibliography assignment and a paper. I tagged all kinds of interesting articles, went to work, feeling great about how much I had accomplished and about 4pm I got a tearful phone call from my teenage daughter. She had upset a glass of water into my laptop computer - yes it was fried; but all my work was not lost!!! All my articles were accessible through del.cio.us, needless to say, I am a BIG fan of this tool.
The collaborative features of the online applications (Google Docs & ZoHo Writer) are what appeal to me the most. I have written many presentations and papers as part of a group and tracking which is the most recent version via email attachments is a nightmare; I'm looking forward to putting these tools to work on my next project.
Cheers, Chris

Instant messaging
Tried this twice with GoogleTalk, first time worked great, second time I apparently forgot everything I knew because I could not chat with the person sitting right next to me. Will have to try, try again.

Posting a picture
Help: I would like to post a picture of viburnum x bodentense or some other lovely plant but I am not a picture taker. Any recommendations out there for sources of free plant pictures on the web?

Finally, found a moment to create a blog and that's really all it took!
For a person who loves conversation, must say I am reluctant to blog. It seems such a solitary pursuit just you talking. The give and take is so protracted - I wonder if I will be won over?
I chose my blog name because of the fragrant Virburnum x bodnantense that is currrently blooming at my house. I think of it as my November friend; when I come home, on our dark November evenings it's fragrance greets me and I relax, welcomed, happy to be home. It typically blooms November and early spring, but is particularly profuse this spring!
Cheers, Chris
